Personal Statement
Personal Statement
As Coordinator of Instructional Services I see my role within the Adelphi community as a proactive one. My philosophy of teaching as an academic librarian is to ultimately demystify the library and its information resources. My objective is to empower all our users with the tools and skills necessary to function in this ever-changing information landscape. As an academic librarian, everything I do professionally is geared to the
educational process. Every reference question provides a teaching moment and an opportunity to learn from my patrons. Teaching the Adelphi community to be information literate researchers in their pursuit of knowledge will assist them with the life long skills necessary to succeed in this new information age.
